We’ve increased revenue for our Theatre Network partners all across the country.
If you don’t have a preshow or have worked with other providers, we understand the process may seem complex. We’ve worked hard to make joining our network very easy.
Check out the FAQ for more details on our process.

What does your preshow consist of?
We compile a mix of trivia, local and national ads, red carpet interviews with Hollywood’s biggest stars, and theatre-specific policy trailers (turn your cell phone off, concession stands, movie clubs, gift cards, etc). See some examples here.
That said, most of the content is from local advertisers – the people in your community who frequent your theatre.
Do you produce ads?
Yes. We have experience producing local ads and preshows for nearly a decade. You can see samples of our work here.
What if I don’t approve of an advertisement or content you put on the screens?
As a theatre owner or manager, you can reject an ad at any time. Although this has never happened, we respect and understand the importance of ensuring your control and approval rights.
Can we play the preshow on our digital server?
Absolutely. We have two solutions for this:
- We ship you a hard drive that contains the preshow already converted to a Digital Cinema Package (DCP). This DCP is quickly and easily ‘ingested’ (loaded) into your Library Management Server (LMS). We will ship you a new hard drive every time the program changes. We utilize the latest Material Exchange Format (MFX) software to ensure the DCP is industry standard and the same high-definition quality as the movie on deck. Give us a call and we can talk more about it.
- Don’t want hard drives shipped to you? We have a high-definition media server that can connect to your Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) projectors. Our system will communicate with your point of sale (POS) system, retrieve the schedule for each screen and will seamlessly and automatically signal the DCI projectors to turn on. The entire process will be managed remotely without any interaction from your staff. Just like we explained in the first option, we utilize the latest Material Exchange Format (MFX) software to ensure the DCP is industry standard and the same high-definition quality as the movie on deck. It’s very easy for us to do this.
What if we don’t want to run the preshow on digital servers?
We have a separate system with high-definition projectors and servers that we install in your theatre and can manage remotely. Our system would communicate with your point of sale system (POS) and retrieve the schedule for each screen, and would then seamlessly and automatically switch our projectors on and off.
Will you produce my policy trailers for me?
Absolutely. What do you need? We can create spots to remind people to turn their cell phone off, visit your snack bar, buy your gift cards, attend your movie clubs, or any other content you wish to have on your screens.
Who handles all of the advertiser billing and collections?
We do. We handle almost every aspect of the preshow program, and work tirelessly to make your life easier.
How did you come up with that name, Pecan Pie Productions?
Good question. We specialize in working with local communities and small business owners, so we wanted to create a brand that was as fun, local and approachable as something we can all relate to: Pecan Pie. Plus, nobody forgets the name.
